Avianto's Winter Vacation 2003 - 2004
Rotterdam - Brides les Bains - Annecy - Paris - Berlin
Day 1
Lübeck to Rotterdam
I went to Rotterdam on Sunday, December 21, 2003 by train. The trip was quite all right but then the train was arriving late at Münster so I missed the next train to Enschede, Netherland. Fortunately I've met a German girl that have the same destination with me, so with her help (because my German is quite awful even now after 3 months living in German) I could asked for the replacement train which departed an hour later. So we waited and also have another company, a guy from Africa, who also missed the train. Then the three of us went to Enschede and there we went seperately to each destination (the German girl went to Amsterdam, the African guy to Almilo and me to Rotterdam).

I arrived at Rotterdam around 22.30 and my friend from my previous school (Architecture Department, Bandung Institute of Technology, class of 1993), Sigit, picked me up at the Rotterdam train station (Rotterdam Centraal). So we went to his place and have a great chat since it's been a while since we've met each other (He's been in Rotterdam for almost one and half year now).
Day 2
Rotterdam
Woke up quite late and walked around the city with Sigit. It was snow... er ice rain at that time.

We went to the famous Rubik House and walked inside the complex taking a couple of pictures. The building is great and amazing because of its unordinary form.

Then we continued our "city tour" walking beside the giant river of Rotterdam. The bridges are very amazing and very long. As we walked beside the river the sun slowly went down and the day turn into night as we travelled back to Sigit's house. On the way there we make a detour to the "China Town" because I want to buy some phone cards to make some phone calls.
