Movable Type 3.1

Just upgraded the weblog engine to Movable Type 3.1. The main reason is so I can use MTBlacklist since I am quite tired of deleting almost 10 comment spams everyday.

Let see how this new engine run. Haven’t got the time to play around with the features tho, although it seems very interesting. Maybe later.

Share Your Taste and Opinion

Another Tech Talks issue. Want to share your taste on music? Your favorites weblogs? Your photos? Here are some interesting online tools to do that: Kinja. It’s a web based RSS reader. Its simplicity is the power. My only complain is it doesn’t have categories which I found quite difficult to organize my quite differ RSS feeds. Bloglines on the other hand provide the categories (or folder) but I just don’t like the interface, it just too complicated for my simple taste, but if you desperately need the categorical feeds then Bloglines will do. So here are my shared Kinja / Read more …

Farewell to a friend

Farewell denise. It’s been great knowing you! Wish you a great life and future ahead. One of my best friend here in Lübeck was leaving this afternoon. She went back to her country beyond the Atlantic Ocean. She is a good friend regardless her frantic behavior and “rush in the end” attitude =). But everybody have their own flaws and I know that her greatness is way much beyond her flaws. So, thank you d for being a friend! Hope to seeing you again! / Read more …

Away for 5 days

I’ll be leaving Lübeck tomorrow to Saas Fee. I will be my professor’s personal assistance and attending his lectures and seminars for EGS on their Summer Residency Program. It will be some busy days and of course it will be fun and enlightening since the lecture and seminar are just exactly in the area of my study interest. So unless I could find internet connection there I don’t think I can write anything here until I come back. Anyway, have a good weekend everyone. See you soon and have a good time! / Read more …

Happy Birthday Indonesia!!!

Today is the 59th years since Indonesia got its independence. Happy Anniversary Indonesia. May your future will be better than the previous 59 years. Still so much things to do, lots of unfinished solution to the biggest problem ever and so many things need to be fixed, somehow. Anyway, I have high hope for your future and I will give my best effort to make you better and be the best country ever. (About the photo, it’s the section about Indonesia in the Hamburg Central Library (Hamburg Stadtbibliothek). The section is quite small tho. Well, at least there ARE / Read more …

Weekend at Hamburg

I am leaving for Hamburg in an hour or so. I just need a little bit of time out. Not really, since I bring some of my reading material for next week (hint! hint!) and I will be helping my friend to shoot a movie for his SAE’s final assignment. So until Monday (or late Sunday) I will be having some fine time at Hamburg. Schönes Wochenende! / Read more …

Comment Spammer

… are the most annoying creature ever roaming the blogosphere. Not as annoying as e-mail spammer which I believe is the lowest creature ever lived, not just in the Internet but also in reality but a spammer is still a spammer. What are they expect from doing spam anyway? High Pagerank on Google? As if someone will search for their preference keyword anyway. Well, maybe someone did but how many percent from the total of Internet user? I don’t understand the logic behind this spamming business. Maybe I am just too naive but I am sure that I am not / Read more …

Next step...

… is to apply for visa. Well, to where? Can’t tell you right now but most of you probably already know where I will go for my study abroad ;). And if you didn’t know already maybe you can take a guess. It’s a country that as an Indonesian you will need a visa. It is not any of the Schengen countries because I won’t need a visa since I have my a Germany student residence (Aufenthaltsbewilligung). So any wild guess? Anyway, I am really looking forward to get my visa as soon and as painless as possible. Being Indonesian / Read more …

Nice use of images, soothing color, great articles, great photos (I like the ‘by color scheme’ option to browse, quite catchy). I am suck with color and Adam’s website give me some good tips to improve my ‘color inspiration’. Thanks! / Read more …
