Rain of Ice

Germany’s weather is unpredictable. We just have rain of ice at 4 pm, in spring, near June… The iceball are quite big, 2 - 0.5 cm in diameter and they are really hurt yourself if you’re happened to be on the open area. So yeah, it was strange weather for the last couple of days but today is the weirdest… I think it’s time to open my cabinet and put on my winter jacket again for another week or so. / Read more …

Get into the flow again

I am back! After a couple of days dealing with only the real world now I have to find my own flow in my so-called-normal life, which is my school life. Timmendorf’s Playa del Tango was a success event, it’s over and done gracefully but it was in the past now and I just put it on the box and let it flows in the stream of time. It’s over and nothing can be said about it anymore. Now I just realize that I have lot of things to catch up and I’ve better do it soon, at least this / Read more …

Introducing: Currently Reading Column

It’s been around here for a while, but I guess it barely gets noticed. So now let me properly introduced you to the “Currently Reading” column on this journal sidebar. Basically, it just my collection of links to some articles on the web that I’ve just read or plan to read later. I could use the main journal for that purpose but i think it will be better if it has its own place so it will also acts as a bookmark (It’s Favorites for all of you IE worshipers). I will put the RSS for that column, the idea / Read more …

Merging

I am merging my previous journal with this one. So right now I have total more than 400 entries… That’s one hell of rebuilding entries =). The reason? I am beginning to accept the past and get on with my life so as one of positive gesture I’ve decided to combine the past and the present (well, I could find another reason but this one looks like the best one, so sue me =P). And that also mean that a new layout will come out soon… Just wait ;) P.S.: Updated, the comment system seems needs a little fix since / Read more …

MovableType 3.0

I am using MovableType 3.0 free edition now. I am thinking of buying the license but as I said, I need extra money for that (that’s also explain my AdSense fiasco). The new interface is amazing. Tableless layout with XHTML and CSS. Love it and it so clean with bluish atmosphere… Hmm, clean design is becoming a trend nowadays, wonder why. Anyway, I love MovableType and I’ll pay respect to them by purchasing the license later if I can get enough money for that. For now all I can say is “Great work, SixApart!!!”. / Read more …

Google AdSense

As you may notice that I put Google Ads here. Why? Well, there are two reasons; one, I want to experiment with the ads, see how effective it is connected to my content/writing. Two, it won’t hurt to have extra money I desperately need nowadays. Talking about money, I am thinking of freelancing again. But I have to consider to manage my time since I am a full time student now. Well, let see how everything will turn out but I definitely need some extra money. / Read more …

It’s been grey here in Lübeck since the last 5 days… It really feels terrible especially when you were sure that the spring was already here. Grey spring… yeah, right. The sun will be back on next Monday, according to the weather website, which is like 4 more days. Well, that’s living in Germany, the land of grey sky. / Read more …

Installing Panther

We’re just installing Panther, that is MacOS X 10.3 for you who are uninitiated, in our school’s computer lab. It is gorgeous =). Love the Exposé feature and the Fast User Switching is amazing. The Font Book is very useful and of course the new Finder is totally have the right feeling on it… Well, it just perfect… Some improvement could enhance it but for now I think the feature are quite cool and good enough to do the job. Well, that’s what is using Mac is all about, right? To make the work done, period. / Read more …

May 1st Reboot

Done. My main website is participating in May 1st Reboot and now it have a new layout… More simple, cleaner and straight to the point, I think… OK, some keypoint on the new layout: * Validated under XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS 2.0. * Have a new column called “Colophon”, a brief description about who is responsible for all of this craziness =). * I am using Flash again! Thanks to Todd Dominey’s slide show source Flash file. I put high credit on his hard work… Have you seen his amazing 2003 PGA Championship website?
