8.30 - 17.30
From yesterday, I was (supposed) to work at the office strictly on the official working hours which is 8.30 to 17.30. Yikes!
Well, honestly, I am not used to. I used to wake up around 7 or 8, eat bread or instant noodle, drink coffee with milk, sit in front of my home computer and working at home until around lunch time (about 11.00). Then I eat lunch and after that go to the office. Working until 19.00 or 20.00 and go home. That's my usual routine.
But yesterday, I woke up (still) around 7. still eat bread and drink coffee but went straight to the office using my bike... Working ON TIME from 8.30. At 12.00 went home to eat lunch, back at the office before 13.00. Continue my work until 17.30 and *buzzz!!!* time to go home. So I went home... ON TIME! What a day... =) Wonder if I could keep this routine for some times.
Well, it worth to do anyway, afterall I am a little bit bored right now with my work so maybe if I change the routine I could be less bored. Hope so.

it’s hard to mention ‘personal stuff’ in my work, lina. if i am surfing some great sites, reading literature and technical stuffs, reading a book or doing other stuff that can be categorized as ‘personal’ but in fact i was searching for some inspiration or new idea… what should we call it then? vice versa too.
so it’s really really hard to draw a line between ‘personal stuff’ and ‘business stuff’ within my job description.

Contrary to a typical office hours in the States (9 to 5), I think you can be tagged ‘hardworking’ - that is if you fully spend all those eight hours on your work (no personal stuff). Your hours now are much better than your previous ones. The hours are definitely more normal than before. So, good for you. I wonder why they changed your hours.
Your regular breakfast (instant noodles), however, reminds me of what my Mom used to make me early in the morning before school - nasi goreng ceplok. Geez… I feel sick just by thinking of having such a huge meal for breakfast.
